Using the Law of Attraction to Become an Optimist

Do you view the glass as half empty?  Then you would describe yourself as a pessimist.  Just because this label currently defines you, you have the power to change!

Yes, a pessimist can change its preverbal stripes, unlike the zebra.  If you are currently labeling yourself as a pessimist, know that you can change.  You need to start having positive affirmations in your life.

When you begin to feel like your pessimist self and start thinking of negative thoughts, use this technique to get on the optimistic positive path.

Right now, think of the happiest time in your life and remember the feelings it gave you.  Imagine right now what that moment was and envision yourself there.

Think of all the details that made up this moment down to the feelings that you had that day.  Allow this memory to consume you until you feel completely happy, just as you did the first time you lived this scene.

Then, anytime you are feeling negative or bad about a situation invoke this wonderful memory into your consciousness and feel the emotions as if you were reliving that happy time once again.  Think of the moment until you are consumed with that happiness.

This exercise will put you back into a positive energy and help you flip your Magicality Magnet from facing down to facing up.  When you have a magnet that is facing up it seeks to attract positive events and circumstances into your life.

Sometimes, you may give this exercise a go and realize that your bad feelings are too overwhelming for you.  In these instances, you need more than just a happy memory to turn your frequency back up.

Right now think of an activity that you love that makes you feel happy and relaxed.  It could be anything like exercise, running, biking, yoga, painting, playing an instrument, drawing or anything at all that you love doing.

Then when this uber unhappy feeling comes your way that you can’t use your happy memories to turn around, make a conscious decision to do your happy activity.  It will bring your mental state of mind to a positive one and wash away those negative emotions.

Remember these two methods and start practicing them.  The more you practice, the easier it will become.  And before you know it, once pessimist has now turned optimist.

Have faith in yourself.  I sure do!

Using Positive Self Talk to Attract Your Desires

Be careful of how you talk to yourself, because guess what?  You are listening!  And you know who else is listening?  The Universe!  You have an inner dialogue with yourself on a daily basis.

In some areas of your life you may have a very positive dialect with yourself.  But like many people, you may have certain areas where you put yourself down and don’t treat yourself like you would treat a good friend or anyone that you loved, for that matter.

Ask yourself if you would tell someone you loved what negative thoughts you feed to yourself.  The answer is you wouldn’t but for some reason you keep treating yourself so mean!

Today is the day to STOP this behavior.  Recognition is the first step to change.  You will hear me say this a lot.  Now that you have recognized your negative self-talk, you have reached your first step to changing it.

“What do you mean negative self-talk?”, you ask.

Some examples can be, “I am so fat!  I can’t believe how fat I am!” or “You are worthless.  You can never do anything right!” or “I always make mistakes!” or “I am a horrible person.  I have no friends because I am unlikable!”

These examples may be what you are currently telling yourself on a daily basis, or it could be not as bad or perhaps worse.  Whatever you are telling yourself, you are instructing the universe to bring you more events and circumstances in your life to feel that way.

It becomes a vicious cycle that repeats itself over and over.  Like if you have a desire to get healthy and lose weight, but continue to tell yourself how fat you are, the universe will create that for your life.  You will always be fat until you can believe and tell yourself how healthy and thin you are.

Start recognizing your negative self-talk and replace it with the polar opposite positive self-talk.  This will change your belief system and set into motion for the universe to send you what you are asking for.

Remember to speak to yourself with love and positivity so that you can attract into your life just that!  As you change the way you think about that particular area of your life, you will see your life change to coincide with your new thoughts.

Lose Weight With A Little Help From The Law of Attraction…

Are you like most people who wish you could lose some extra weight?  Do you diet and step on the scale often to ensure you are on the right track toward meeting your goals?  Do you stare at your body in the mirror, and only seem to see the parts that you dislike?  If so, you are not alone.  But, by following these steps I just mentioned above you will do nothing but attract more of everything you don’t want….extra weight.

Why, you ask? Because just by making the statement, and securing it with your actions, that you are “on a diet” sends a message to the universe that you are unhappy with your current self and are “afraid” of putting on more weight.

Try, instead, to say and be more “aware of what you are eating.”  Take pride in making good food choices but don’t beat yourself up when you indulge here and there; depriving yourself with a “diet” will only attract more cravings for the things you “can’t” have.

Diets = Fears and therefore continue to deliver more of what you don’t want…poundage.

Which brings me to my next piece of advice: Scales.  Get rid of your scale!  Do not use one!  By weighing yourself on the regular, all you are doing is focusing on a number and expressing to the universe that you will only be happy if, and when, you reach that certain weight—this is not living in the now.

Do not give the control over your happiness to a machine that reflects “who you are” in number form!  Go by how your clothes fit but don’t replace your scale obsession with obsessing over your pants feeling a bit tighter then the last time you wore them.

Frankly, the less you think about your weight, the more you will lose because you are not spending time thinking about it, and therefore attracting to you whatever your negative weight-loss thoughts might be.

When you notice your clothes fitting better, be grateful and continue to tell yourself that this is the norm for you, you always lose weight effortlessly.  Keep exuding those feel good feelings about your awesome weight-loss manifesting skills and this will remain your reality.  I know you can do it and would love to hear your story!

Believe the Stars Are Aligned Right Now for Attracting the Life You Desire

Do you believe that one day the stars will align and things will work out?  Do you believe that one day all of your hopes and dreams will come true?  Do you believe that one day you will attract what you’ve wanted for so long?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, than unfortunately you will not attract your true desires into your life.  By believing that one day these things will happen, you tell the universe that your desire is to always believe that one day these things will happen.

You are sending out thoughts that you don’t currently have what you want and in turn the universe sends that back that you don’t currently have what you want.

Sounds not too easy to grasp, right?

Well, this is when getting in tune with your inner child can work miracles for you…literally!  Start pretending that the stars are in align today.  Stop waiting for the stars to align  because the universe will always give you just that—waiting!

When you believe that the stars are in align now, then you give the universe only one option—for the stars to align for you.

Believe that you already have what you desire.  Play make believe and pretend you attracted into your life all of your dreams.  What does it feel like to have these things?  How would your life be?  Envision every last detail and feel the feelings of having it.

Make this a routine to make believe.  Get your friends and family involved and make it that much more real in your imagination.  What is great is that the universe will begin to make these things happen for you to align your thoughts with your reality.

The more and more you really believe you already have what you want, the quicker things will come to you.

Test this out.  Think of something small (or big) that you want to attract into your life.  Start pretending you have it every day.  Watch how you manifest it into your life!

Every time that I want to attract something wonderful into my life, I repeat this exercise over and over again.  I get my husband involved and we talk to each other as if we already have what we want.  At first it takes some time to get used to the play, but after repeating this every day it gets super easy and it flows.

And each time we do this and the make-believe-play becomes so real in our minds we begin to believe it with all of our hearts.  And sure enough, we get what we want!  Now it’s your turn to go out and get what you want.  Have fun with it and do it all the time so that you believe and feel that you already have what you want.

Living the Law of Attraction…Magicality Magnet Style

A very important component of Magicality is your Magicality Magnet. Your magnet has been with you ever since you were a baby, yet few of us realize it till much later in life, if at all.

If you are here reading this blog, you should consider yourself special since you essentially have a leg up in living a law of attraction lifestyle if you recognize, and respect, the power and potential your Magicality Magnet has in helping you manifest the life you want.

The relationship you have with your Magicality Magnet is cyclical; your magnet feeds off of and follows in the direction of your thoughts, actions and emotions while, at the same time, when you examine your thoughts, actions and emotions, you will get a clear indication of which direction your magnet is facing and whether it needs to be adjusted or not.

It’s “like attracts like”, so think happy, attract more happy; think angry, get more angry reflected back.

And here’s the GREAT NEWS!  You have total control over your magnet just by controlling your thoughts!  Let me say that again, when you know your magnet must be facing down because you are obviously in a shitty mood, you can choose, right then and there, to flip it over so it is smiling again!

Now, I know you are probably thinking, “I can’t just ‘change’ my mood so quickly like that? This sounds impossible!”  I know it may sound difficult, and believe me, less than 5 years ago, I would have totally scoffed at this advice myself. (I never bought into the whole, “put a smile on your face and it will make you feel better;” I looked at it as, “If I’m in a bad mood, I’m not going to cover it up with a fake smile.”)

But, in actuality, you aren’t faking anything—you are CHOOSING to change your thought patterns and there is nothing fake about that.  And, if I am able to snap myself out of a bad mood within minutes or hours, as apposed to days or months, like years ago, so can you!

The key is remembering to be aware and ask yourself, “Which way is my magnet facing right now?” and flip accordingly.  You’ll be surprised how much easier it is to do than you think.  That’s what makes Magicality so magical!

Money Grows on Trees: Using the Law of Attraction for Abundance

When you were growing up did your parents ever use the term, “Money doesn’t grow on Trees”?  If you did, you have been conditioned like so many of us to believe that money is hard to come by.  You may think that you have to bust your butt and work so very hard to have money.

Because of this belief, you will always attract that into your life. 

What if when you were a little kid your parents told you, “Money DOES grow on trees!”  How do you think your life would be right now?  What would your belief about money be and how would that affect your relationship with money?

Now money doesn’t really physically grow on trees, but proverbially it does!  If you believe that money comes easily and frequently than guess what?  It will always come easily and frequently!

Do you have any friends that always seem to have all that they want?  They are always getting the ‘new’ electronics or going on the best vacations?  They may have bills but never stress about paying them?  These people have the belief that money grows on trees! 

They know something so magnificent—That there will always be more than enough money.  Money comes in and goes out and that is the cycle.  They believe that money will always be around and they don’t stress when things get tight.

If you stress about money and have a belief that there’s not enough, then there will never be enough.  Change the way you think about money and change your world.

When things do get tight (because they will) don’t panic.  Just have faith in the universe that there will be enough.  When you panic and stress about it, you send out signals into the universe that you have a feeling of lack about money and unfortunately that will present you with situations for you to feel a lack of money for. 

Sometimes I start to have my old feelings of money creep in and it starts to turn my Magicality Magnet upside down!  This gives me a reminder that I have to start thinking positive about money again and as I am grateful for all the money and abundance I already have in my life and believe that money is always on its way, my magnet turns right back up.  And then I know that the universe is working to get me abundance!

Recognize the moments in your life that your Money Magnet is facing down.  Use this as a tool to focus on all that you do have and believe in yourself and your ability to attract more than enough into your life.  Flip your magnet to positive and start attracting all the positive things life has to offer for you, including a flow of abundance and money that will come into your life.  Just believe and have faith.

Choose to consciously change your thoughts about money and watch your world change.

Using Social Media to Attract Positivity into Your Life

Are you a member of any social media websites or applications?  Have a Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ or any other type of account?  If you answered yes to any of the above, then you may be setting yourself up for negativity.

One of my guilty pleasures is watching “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” on Bravo.  For some reason, this show captivates me.  One of the things I noticed is that they fight…..A lot!

A main reason for their fights is actually social media!  They are all members of Twitter and so many people that want to get a rise out of them interact using Twitter to do so.  They are consistently making negative comments and all of the housewives are feeding right into it.

They begin to believe these negative comments and allow it to control their emotions.  They allow the rumors and the rude comments to affect their quality of life.

Does this sound familiar to you?  Do you have a Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Google+ feed filled with negativity?  Do you ever let what others say affect your current mood in a bad way?  When this happens, you are opening yourself up to attract more negative things to be unhappy about.

If you want to attract positivity into your life, you need to stop following anyone that consistently posts about negative things.  Block these people from your social media accounts so that you block the negative influencers.

Begin to surround yourself with positivity.  Do this by filling your feeds with positive posts.  Into the Law of Attraction & Magicality?  Start following pages that post all about it.  Anything that will put a smile on your face, should be what you are following.

If you remove the negative and replace it with positive from your Social Media accounts, then your thoughts will be consumed with positivity and that is what you will draw into your life.

My feeds are completely filled only with positive people, groups and businesses.  That way, when I log in I instantly am given a positive vibe for that moment that will lead me for the rest of my day.  Don’t you want to attract more positive to you also?  Start today!

Attracting Positivity from Unexpected Places

Is there a place that you dread to go to because it always seems to challenge your positivity?  Somewhere that the people all seem to have frowning Magnets and no matter how good you were feeling before you got there, you always seem to have your feel-good-feelings chipped away at instantly by this place and the people there?

For me, this place was Costco on Staten Island, NY (my old hometown).  I would rather cross the bridge and drive to New Jersey to go to Costco than cross the negativity threshold that was the Staten Island Costco parking lot.

Going there meant that I could expect to be surrounded by rude, self-centered people, a crazy parking lot and a fast paced, congested store that even Speedy Gonzales would have trouble navigating.  Are you getting the picture now?  Did a place like this come to mind for you?

In hindsight, I now realize how I was completely attracting this outcome to myself whenever I decided to go to that Costco.  I would let my Magicality Magnet immediately begin to teeter after making the decision to shop there.  It’s like my thoughts sent the signal to the movie projector worker to change the films from a happy shopping experience to the “I HATE THIS PLACE!” movie, and that’s exactly what I got, every time.

Unfortunately, at the time, I wasn’t as aware of my thoughts and the law of attraction like I am now so I just usually did my best to avoid that Costco.

I am in love with my new hometown; everyone is extremely friendly and, for the most part, do nothing but contribute to raising my, and my family’s, energy vibration.  Because everyone, everywhere, is so great, it really stands out when I go someplace that doesn’t seem to live up to those high standards.

This place in my new hometown would be Shoprite.  It seems that the times I’ve shopped in there, my positive vibes are not reflected back to me when I share a warm smile with someone I pass or speak politely when someone is in my way.  Instead, I get emotionless looks and people ignoring me.  And, oddly enough, my husband shared with me that he had similar experiences the times he had shopped there.  But, today was different.

Today, when I made my list and informed my husband that I would be running to the store, I set the intention of having a wonderful experience at Shoprite and my intentions were met with smiling magnets.

First, someone quickly pulled into a parking spot that I was going to take and when I began to drive by her, she quickly rolled down her window and apologized; her kind gesture put a smile on my face which then landed me a parking spot right in front of the store.  And the trip just got better from there; everyone was friendly, polite and exuded a brighter energy.  I was so happy to come home and update my husband on my wonderful Shoprite experience.

Let my example be a lesson for you to learn from.  Living the Law of Attraction, living Magicality, is an ongoing journey; we all evolve at our own speed.  It took me some time but I got here and so can you!  So set the intention for a good experience the next time you have to go to that place that tests your positivity, keep your spirits high and your Magnet smiling at everyone, and EXPECT something wonderful!

Appreciating Your Now: Attracting the Life of Your Dreams

Are you grateful for what you have in your life currently?  Are you happy with your current circumstances?  Does thinking about your life bring a smile to your face?

If you answered ‘No’ to any of the above questions, it may be the exact reason that you aren’t attracting the life that you truly desire.  In order to begin seeing what you desire, you have to begin to appreciate what you already have now.

I know this may sound crazy to you, but it is the only way.  You need to feel love and gratitude for everything that life has presented to you.  I know it’s easier said than done, but you can do it.

You may ask things like, “How is it possible to be happy for my job that I am currently miserable at?” or “How is it possible for me to be happy with my financial situation when I am struggling day to day to pay my bills?”  These are valid questions, but the answer is something that will truly change your world.

If you continually focus on the things that make you unhappy and the lack of things in your life, you will send this out to the universe.  The universe will then respond to what you are thinking, which is that of lack and unhappiness.  This is the exact opposite of what you want, right?

So decide no matter how unhappy or unsatisfied a particular situation is making you, that you will rise above it and decide to be happy and grateful for it anyway.  You woke up this morning, didn’t you?  You were given the gift of life and for that you should make an effort to be happy and grateful for all that you have today, right now.

The universe is giving to you all that you are thinking.  This is a universal law.  Because you are constantly receiving what you are thinking, you should be grateful for all that you receive.

If you were to give something to someone and they weren’t thankful for it, it wouldn’t make you feel good.  Always be grateful for all that you have and then you will open the doors to attract anything you want right into your life.

The moment you have feelings of lack, recognize that you are sending a request for more lack into your life.  Take this as an opportunity to change your frequency and appreciate what you have to draw more things in life your way to appreciate.  Make this a practice and see how your life changes for the good.

Living the Law of Attraction in THE NOW

Have you ever heard a song that just really spoke to you?  A song with words that were more than mere poetry, they were actually wise advice that you should heed?

Pearl Jam is my all-time, most favorite band.  Though I love so many of their songs, there is one in particular that I find to be so truthful, wise and descriptive: Present Tense, from the album No Code.

            Listen to these lyrics:

“…you can spend your time alone, redigesting past regrets, oh

or you can come to terms and realize

you’re the only one who can’t forgive yourself, oh

makes much more sense to live in the present tense…”

I’ve loved this song since I was a teenager and it occurred to me recently how enlightened this message is when you are living a law of attraction lifestyle, when you are living Magicality.

Living in “The Now” is crucial.  When you aren’t, that means that your thoughts are somewhere else—either in the past or the future—neither of which you have control over.  Obsessing about something you don’t have control over usually doesn’t lead to positive emotions being send out into the universe, this being something you don’t want to do.

Spending your time thinking about past events that were “negative” or even ones that were “good” but have you caught in an unhealthy reminiscing-rut are not going to keep your magnet smiling and your vibration up so that you attract positive things, people and circumstances into your life.

Listen to Eddie Vedder when he says that “you are the only one;” he is reminding you that you are in control of where your life is headed and it is by being aware of the tracks your trains-of-thought ride along and their inevitable destinations—either to Positive-ville or Negative City—that will determine what you encounter in your future.

So continue to surround yourself around the things that make you feel good, like the tree leaning out to catch the sun’s rays that Eddie sings about in this song.  Be aware of the thoughts you are thinking, evaluate where they are headed, and pull the emergency break on those non-present, negative thoughts.  Be the conductor of your own life and enjoy the ride, moment by moment.
