2.26.14 Attract a Long LifeDo you know someone who is just always happy; always has a smile on their face and a matching one in their heart?  Do you know someone whom you can’t remember ever seeing angry, and no one else can remember ever seeing angry either?

A couple of weeks ago, I attended a surprise birthday party for my great-aunt who was turning 90 years old.  Aunt Ella is the most genuine example of a kind, happy soul you could ever wish to meet.  Just being around her makes you smile and inspires you to be a better person.

The invitation to Aunt Ella’s party asked, in lieu of gifts, that everyone write Aunt Ella a letter reminiscing about fond memories with her.

I started my letter to her saying that it was no coincidence that she has lived such a long, blessed life; her light, jovial spirit has been keeping her young for many years.  If you met her, you would never guess her to actually be 90 years old; her smiling face, ability to still get around well, and remarkable memory fool all those around her into believing she is many years younger than she actually is.

I am telling you about Aunt Ella because she is an excellent example of how filling each cell of your body with positivity all of your life—singing happy songs, speaking kind words and giggling lots, along with exuding love and acceptance of everyone you meet—does a body good, so to say.

So, keep your Magnet smiling.  Radiate out from your soul a sense of peace and contentment…and really feel it!  Live in the now and really enjoy yourself while doing so! Give exaggerated hugs to those you love, and to those you newly meet.  Look into people’s eyes and really listen to what they are saying, don’t just appear as if you are paying attention.

Life can be short; plenty of wonderful people die too soon.  But, then there are those who live so long and it makes you wonder if they have a special purpose.  Strive to be like Aunt Ella—inspire those around you to be the best, and happiest, they can be by practicing what you preach!

Let Your Positive Energy Attract More Positive People & Circumstances

Did you ever notice that you could be in a fabulous mood and then your significant other, family member or closest friend comes around you and they are in the worst mood ever?

Their attitude wreaks of negativity and everything that comes out of their mouth makes you cringe?  You know that their mood is all about them, but for some reason you start feeding off of their negative emotions.

When they are in a bad mood, you start finding yourself in a bad mood?

Remember, this is the law of attraction at work because like attracts like.  Don’t allow their energy to bring you down.  Focus on doing the opposite by using your wonderful mood and positive energy to bring them up!

Continue to be positive, no matter how negative they can get.  Stay positive and see how you can change their mood.  And sometimes, that just doesn’t work.

In those instances, remove yourself from the situation.  Go get up and do something else.  If you are on a phone call, end the conversation.

Then when they are ready to be positively influenced by you, you will notice them come around.  They may come to the room you are in or you may get a phone call back.

I often notice this happens with my husband.  He can be in a foul mood and no matter how good I feel, his negativity resonates with me.  I feel it inside of me.

Now that I have recognized this (and recognition is the first step to change) I can use my steps above.  First I try to get him more upbeat and positive to reflect my mood.  If that doesn’t work, I then remove myself from the situation.

I go to another room and write or read or maybe watch some TV.  And, like clockwork, shortly thereafter he is with me again but now in a better mood.

It would be easy to fall into the negativity trap and join their pity party.  But now that you recognize your positive vibes are far more powerful, you can use them to control your feelings and how you will react to any situation.

Changing Your Words to Attract Your Best Life

12.23.13 Green Light

“I Always…!”

Do you find yourself using this statement?  For example, do you find yourself saying things like, “I always get stuck in traffic”, “I always get all the red lights” or “This always happens!”

When you say these type of statements, you are creating a pattern in your life, whether you realize it or not.  Because you say “always”, the universe will seek to make that happen for you every time to no avail.

So I challenge you today to start recognizing when you say these statements.  The moment those words either come out of your mouth or enter into your thoughts, I want you to immediately make the statement a past tense.

You will now consciously say, “I used to get stuck in traffic”, “I used to get all of the red lights” or “This used to happen!”

After making these past-tense statements, you cancel out your old mantra.  You can now replace them with a positive ‘always’ statement to create a life that you would find more pleasurable.

Your new ‘always’ statements can sound like, “I always have a smooth, easy ride”, “I always get green lights” or “I always have this positive thing happen!”

When I first started doing this, the traffic or the red lights or whatever I was ‘alwaysing’ about didn’t go away right away.  My belief was so deep and engrained in my subconscious, that it took some practice and effort on my part to start getting the smooth rides and green lights.

You may have to put some effort into this also, but I promise you it will be worth it.  Keep repeating this process until your old belief system is now recreated to a positive belief system.  You will see your world begin to change and things get so much easier for you.

Using Today as a Tool for a Positive Tomorrow

12.9.13 Use Today

Some days don’t go as planned.  You may wake up believing that everything will go ‘right’ for you but as the day progresses, you start to realize that you have some ‘hiccups’ come your way.

Maybe work is busy or you hit lots of traffic on your way home for work.  Then you get into a tiff with one of your closest friends and your dog ate your shoes!!

Ok, maybe those exact things didn’t happen to you, but you get the point.  Things that you perceived to be ‘negative’ happened throughout the day and you are just frustrated from it.

So how do you make sure that tomorrow doesn’t go the same way?  How do you set yourself up for a positive tomorrow using today’s events as your tool?

There is a process that you can do at the end of your day called Mental Revision.

Any time you have a ‘bad’ day, take a moment to replay all the events that made up your ‘bad’ day.  But this time, instead of reliving those perceived bad moments over again, I want you to recall the events and make a new ending as if each event during your day had a positive outcome.

Repeat this for each and every event from your entire day so that these negative circumstances don’t repeat themselves to you tomorrow.  You are essentially correcting the negative today so that positive events are attracted to you tomorrow.

When doing this exercise,  envision your days events with positive outcomes and feel what it feels like to have had positive endings.  This happy feeling will consume you by the end of your Mental Revision.

You will most likely have a huge smile on your face when completing this.  And tomorrow will be a great day for you!

What a great way to end a crappy day, wouldn’t you say?

Using the Law of Attraction to Become an Optimist

Do you view the glass as half empty?  Then you would describe yourself as a pessimist.  Just because this label currently defines you, you have the power to change!

Yes, a pessimist can change its preverbal stripes, unlike the zebra.  If you are currently labeling yourself as a pessimist, know that you can change.  You need to start having positive affirmations in your life.

When you begin to feel like your pessimist self and start thinking of negative thoughts, use this technique to get on the optimistic positive path.

Right now, think of the happiest time in your life and remember the feelings it gave you.  Imagine right now what that moment was and envision yourself there.

Think of all the details that made up this moment down to the feelings that you had that day.  Allow this memory to consume you until you feel completely happy, just as you did the first time you lived this scene.

Then, anytime you are feeling negative or bad about a situation invoke this wonderful memory into your consciousness and feel the emotions as if you were reliving that happy time once again.  Think of the moment until you are consumed with that happiness.

This exercise will put you back into a positive energy and help you flip your Magicality Magnet from facing down to facing up.  When you have a magnet that is facing up it seeks to attract positive events and circumstances into your life.

Sometimes, you may give this exercise a go and realize that your bad feelings are too overwhelming for you.  In these instances, you need more than just a happy memory to turn your frequency back up.

Right now think of an activity that you love that makes you feel happy and relaxed.  It could be anything like exercise, running, biking, yoga, painting, playing an instrument, drawing or anything at all that you love doing.

Then when this uber unhappy feeling comes your way that you can’t use your happy memories to turn around, make a conscious decision to do your happy activity.  It will bring your mental state of mind to a positive one and wash away those negative emotions.

Remember these two methods and start practicing them.  The more you practice, the easier it will become.  And before you know it, once pessimist has now turned optimist.

Have faith in yourself.  I sure do!

Using Positive Self Talk to Attract Your Desires

Be careful of how you talk to yourself, because guess what?  You are listening!  And you know who else is listening?  The Universe!  You have an inner dialogue with yourself on a daily basis.

In some areas of your life you may have a very positive dialect with yourself.  But like many people, you may have certain areas where you put yourself down and don’t treat yourself like you would treat a good friend or anyone that you loved, for that matter.

Ask yourself if you would tell someone you loved what negative thoughts you feed to yourself.  The answer is you wouldn’t but for some reason you keep treating yourself so mean!

Today is the day to STOP this behavior.  Recognition is the first step to change.  You will hear me say this a lot.  Now that you have recognized your negative self-talk, you have reached your first step to changing it.

“What do you mean negative self-talk?”, you ask.

Some examples can be, “I am so fat!  I can’t believe how fat I am!” or “You are worthless.  You can never do anything right!” or “I always make mistakes!” or “I am a horrible person.  I have no friends because I am unlikable!”

These examples may be what you are currently telling yourself on a daily basis, or it could be not as bad or perhaps worse.  Whatever you are telling yourself, you are instructing the universe to bring you more events and circumstances in your life to feel that way.

It becomes a vicious cycle that repeats itself over and over.  Like if you have a desire to get healthy and lose weight, but continue to tell yourself how fat you are, the universe will create that for your life.  You will always be fat until you can believe and tell yourself how healthy and thin you are.

Start recognizing your negative self-talk and replace it with the polar opposite positive self-talk.  This will change your belief system and set into motion for the universe to send you what you are asking for.

Remember to speak to yourself with love and positivity so that you can attract into your life just that!  As you change the way you think about that particular area of your life, you will see your life change to coincide with your new thoughts.

Using Social Media to Attract Positivity into Your Life

Are you a member of any social media websites or applications?  Have a Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ or any other type of account?  If you answered yes to any of the above, then you may be setting yourself up for negativity.

One of my guilty pleasures is watching “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” on Bravo.  For some reason, this show captivates me.  One of the things I noticed is that they fight…..A lot!

A main reason for their fights is actually social media!  They are all members of Twitter and so many people that want to get a rise out of them interact using Twitter to do so.  They are consistently making negative comments and all of the housewives are feeding right into it.

They begin to believe these negative comments and allow it to control their emotions.  They allow the rumors and the rude comments to affect their quality of life.

Does this sound familiar to you?  Do you have a Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Google+ feed filled with negativity?  Do you ever let what others say affect your current mood in a bad way?  When this happens, you are opening yourself up to attract more negative things to be unhappy about.

If you want to attract positivity into your life, you need to stop following anyone that consistently posts about negative things.  Block these people from your social media accounts so that you block the negative influencers.

Begin to surround yourself with positivity.  Do this by filling your feeds with positive posts.  Into the Law of Attraction & Magicality?  Start following pages that post all about it.  Anything that will put a smile on your face, should be what you are following.

If you remove the negative and replace it with positive from your Social Media accounts, then your thoughts will be consumed with positivity and that is what you will draw into your life.

My feeds are completely filled only with positive people, groups and businesses.  That way, when I log in I instantly am given a positive vibe for that moment that will lead me for the rest of my day.  Don’t you want to attract more positive to you also?  Start today!
