Appreciating Your Now: Attracting the Life of Your Dreams

Are you grateful for what you have in your life currently?  Are you happy with your current circumstances?  Does thinking about your life bring a smile to your face?

If you answered ‘No’ to any of the above questions, it may be the exact reason that you aren’t attracting the life that you truly desire.  In order to begin seeing what you desire, you have to begin to appreciate what you already have now.

I know this may sound crazy to you, but it is the only way.  You need to feel love and gratitude for everything that life has presented to you.  I know it’s easier said than done, but you can do it.

You may ask things like, “How is it possible to be happy for my job that I am currently miserable at?” or “How is it possible for me to be happy with my financial situation when I am struggling day to day to pay my bills?”  These are valid questions, but the answer is something that will truly change your world.

If you continually focus on the things that make you unhappy and the lack of things in your life, you will send this out to the universe.  The universe will then respond to what you are thinking, which is that of lack and unhappiness.  This is the exact opposite of what you want, right?

So decide no matter how unhappy or unsatisfied a particular situation is making you, that you will rise above it and decide to be happy and grateful for it anyway.  You woke up this morning, didn’t you?  You were given the gift of life and for that you should make an effort to be happy and grateful for all that you have today, right now.

The universe is giving to you all that you are thinking.  This is a universal law.  Because you are constantly receiving what you are thinking, you should be grateful for all that you receive.

If you were to give something to someone and they weren’t thankful for it, it wouldn’t make you feel good.  Always be grateful for all that you have and then you will open the doors to attract anything you want right into your life.

The moment you have feelings of lack, recognize that you are sending a request for more lack into your life.  Take this as an opportunity to change your frequency and appreciate what you have to draw more things in life your way to appreciate.  Make this a practice and see how your life changes for the good.

Magicality Moment #2: Which direction is your magnet facing right now?

Take a moment right now to determine which direction your magnet is facing right now.

Is it UP and Smiling indicating you are in a good positive mood sending out good positive vibes to the universe?

Or

Is it DOWN and Frowning, indicating you are in a bad negative mood conversely sending out bad and negative vibes to the universe?

If it is Up you are on the right track to attracting miracles into your life.

If is is down, take a moment to think of ALL of the things you are grateful for in your life.  Feel the gratitude through your body and then begin to feel the shift of your magnet from Down to UP.

Keep repeating this until your magnet is UP.

Living the Law of Attraction in THE NOW

Have you ever heard a song that just really spoke to you?  A song with words that were more than mere poetry, they were actually wise advice that you should heed?

Pearl Jam is my all-time, most favorite band.  Though I love so many of their songs, there is one in particular that I find to be so truthful, wise and descriptive: Present Tense, from the album No Code.

            Listen to these lyrics:

“…you can spend your time alone, redigesting past regrets, oh

or you can come to terms and realize

you’re the only one who can’t forgive yourself, oh

makes much more sense to live in the present tense…”

I’ve loved this song since I was a teenager and it occurred to me recently how enlightened this message is when you are living a law of attraction lifestyle, when you are living Magicality.

Living in “The Now” is crucial.  When you aren’t, that means that your thoughts are somewhere else—either in the past or the future—neither of which you have control over.  Obsessing about something you don’t have control over usually doesn’t lead to positive emotions being send out into the universe, this being something you don’t want to do.

Spending your time thinking about past events that were “negative” or even ones that were “good” but have you caught in an unhealthy reminiscing-rut are not going to keep your magnet smiling and your vibration up so that you attract positive things, people and circumstances into your life.

Listen to Eddie Vedder when he says that “you are the only one;” he is reminding you that you are in control of where your life is headed and it is by being aware of the tracks your trains-of-thought ride along and their inevitable destinations—either to Positive-ville or Negative City—that will determine what you encounter in your future.

So continue to surround yourself around the things that make you feel good, like the tree leaning out to catch the sun’s rays that Eddie sings about in this song.  Be aware of the thoughts you are thinking, evaluate where they are headed, and pull the emergency break on those non-present, negative thoughts.  Be the conductor of your own life and enjoy the ride, moment by moment.

Tuning into Your Morning Feelings Using the Law of Attraction

Did you ever wake up and just feel in a bad mood?  Perhaps the events of the morning didn’t start out so good and your mood begins to spiral down from there.  You stub your toe, run out of toothpaste, then hit traffic on your way to work.  Your mood keeps getting worse and worse.

Does this sound familiar to you?

Unfortunately it happens to many people but you can stop this from happening again.  From the moment you wake up, you should start getting into the habit of having gratitude thoughts.  Your first thoughts should be those filled with love and gratitude.

Think of all of the things in life you are grateful for and feel how amazing it is to have those things.  This should fill you with positive energy to start off your day.

When you lay in bed think of these great thoughts that fill you with gratitude and happiness.  When you brush your teeth, think these thoughts.  When you are in the shower and getting ready, think happy thoughts.

Now, some days, before you make this a habit, you may forget to have this positive self-talk first thing in the morning.  On those days, you may notice a bad feeling or just feel ‘off’.

On these ‘off’ days, notice the not so good feeling and recognize this as a reminder that your Magicality Magnet is facing down.  This is a clear indication to yourself that you will only attract not so good circumstances to your life until you flip your magnet to Up, which will put you in a positive mood.

As long as your magnet is down and you aren’t feeling good, you will continue to attract more events and circumstances into your life that will cause more of those ‘off’ feelings.  Like in the example described above, if you stub your toe out of bed and allow that event to dictate the rest of your day, you will be confronted with more circumstances that cause you to be in a bad mood.

Conversely, if you wake up and feel refreshed, grateful, full of love and happy, the events in your day will ALL reflect these feelings.

Make a conscious decision to be in control of your life and what you attract into it.  Decide today to turn your thoughts and emotions to positive so that you attract just that into your life.

Attracting The Right Book Using the Law of Attraction

Have you ever had a book that you’ve been meaning to read but never seem to get around to it for some reason?  A book that numerous people rave about, act stunned when you say you haven’t read it, and then practically implore you to get it?

For me, that book was The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne.  I had been meaning to get it since I had had a few different friends tell me about it but for some reason, it just was not happening…that was because it wasn’t the right time for me to read it yet.

I’ll never forget how I finally came across The Secret a few years ago.  I was working on some homework one evening when, of course, my printer ran out of ink while printing a paper that was due the following day.  I scooped up my son and ran off to Costco to get more ink before they closed for the night.

Ink in hand, making my way to the check out area, I couldn’t help but walk past the book isle and do a quick scan of what they had to offer.  I was stopped dead in my tracks when I noticed it, The Secret, lying alone, as if thrown aside on a pile of books it did not belong with.

That was a remarkable moment, so much so that even then, before I had really become in tune with what I would today call a Sign of Magicality, I remember noticing how curiously coincidental it was that the book I had been meaning to read be so obviously meant for me to find at that moment.

Needless to say, that book has influenced my life to an incredible degree.  I know I attracted it to me and that I received it at exactly the time I was supposed to—no sooner, no later.

Books are excellent Signs of Magicality; always be aware of the books (and blogs) you come across because they are often exactly what you need at that moment in your life and you never know how far reaching their influence may be in your spiritual journey.

Here’s to you attracting the right reading material, at the right time, and being aware enough to notice.
