The POWER of WORRY to Attract What You DON’T Want

4.9.14 Your Worries are Powerful

Have you ever noticed how when you worry about something happening to you, that’s usually what happens? Doesn’t that stink!? And, unfortunately, that’s usually what we notice the most—the things we didn’t want happening, happening—even though we are constantly attracting good circumstances to us all the time too.

Take it from me, “the worry queen,” worry does no good! While I have been a worrier most of my life, I finally learned the hard way how powerful my worrying can affect me…physically.

Getting dressed up club style, platform heels and all, for my best friend’s bachelorette party in NYC, I kept stressing about falling and breaking an ankle or something while wearing my heels; I’m not one to wear heels more than a few times a year and this was one of those occasions. I even stuffed into the pockets of my coat my flip flops, my more usual style of footwear, in case my feet were killing me and I had to change my shoes.

One of the girls that was with us grabbed me by the shoulders as were getting ready to leave for the club and said, “Mar, you are not allowed to stress tonight! You are here to enjoy yourself and that is what you are going to do. Everything is going to be fine!” I thanked her for the reminder that snapped me out of my negative state and ended up having a great time dancing the night away till 5 am…without falling or tripping once.

It wasn’t until we got home that my worry magnet brought my worries to life, like there was a delay in the universe’s delivery system.

While stepping out onto the balcony when we got back to the apartment, with my flip flops on at that point, oddly enough, I fell on the side of my ankle and come to find out the next day, after being encouraged by my husband to go to the ER, that I fractured my ankle in 3 places; my first broken bone ever.

At first I didn’t make the connection between my thoughts only hours prior to my broken ankle and its actual “breaking point,” but once it dawned on me, I realized how powerful my worrying had been in attracting exactly what I was worrying about, exactly what I DIDN’T want to happen!

So, let my painful, drawn out experience be a lesson to you—whatever you focus on, whether it be a positive or negative thing, you will eventually manifest it in your life. It may not be as clear or severe as a broken bone, but the sooner you pay attention to the way you think and feel and act and the way things play out in your life, the sooner you will realize how powerful you truly are. Like any great king or queen, it is important to not abuse your power so don’t let negativity rule your mind, heart and soul because its power can make or “break” you! Haha

Be Grateful for “Money In” No Matter What Its Form

3.26.14 Money InI adhere to a gluten free diet.  Aside from doing it for health reasons, I’ve come to discover that the elimination of gluten from my diet has improved my mood; I feel less depressed and experience less severe and frequent mood swings—essentially, I am able to control my magnet better and keep it smiling for much long periods of time.

Anyway, my dear friend, and original Magicality Buddy, Rayna, was gluten free for a while but she recently decided it was not the best lifestyle for her to live any longer.

One morning, I woke up to find three large boxes at my doorstep.  Knowing I hadn’t ordered anything, I was confused as to what they were about until my eyes met the letters of Magicality in each one, telling me to enjoy some “Money In,” and saw the gluten free goodies that were being passed on to me by my MB (Magicality Buddy).  It was like gluten free heaven and Christmas all rolled into one; I was so grateful and excited!

I am sharing this personal story with you because it is an excellent example of “Money In,” as Joe Vitale calls it.  Though it was not in “money” form, this gift had VALUE; not only were all the items expensive to buy, but the gift itself had special meaning—value—for me.

It is an amazing way to recognize things in your life for their value.  Everything has value—the savings coupon or discount, a gift received, the free tickets you win, spending time with loved ones, or even the unexpected help you receive—these all have value and deserve attention and gratitude.

An excellent way to show your gratitude is to reciprocate in some way—“Money Out” for you is “Money In” for someone else.  We are all connected.  There is no vacuum in the system; when you let go of something, maybe money in this case, it will soon be replaced by something else—“Money back in”—in some form.

“Value In” and “Value Out” is always happening and it happens for everyone.  It’s a matter of being aware, noticing, accepting it, showing gratitude and reciprocating.  The moment you let fear enter the equation—fear of letting go of something because of the sense of lack, you immediate prevent the flow of attracting more “value” to you! Believe in abundance!

I am looking forward to surprising Rayna with a gratitude gift in return; I know whatever I send, and whenever it happens, it will be the right time for both of us and it will make both of our Magnets smile!

How Becoming More Aware of Your Body Will Help You Attract What You Want

3.12.14 Body AwarenessHave you ever noticed how your body feels when you are watching a suspenseful or scary movie?  When I stop and tune into my body when I am watching a scary movie or a fight scene that I have to look away from, the muscles in my whole body are often clenched and tense; I am not in a relaxed, comfortable state.

What about when you are replaying in your mind a confrontation you may have had with a someone that you don’t see eye to eye with, have you ever taken notice of the way your body feels when you are saying all those negative, angry things in your head over and over?  If you haven’t, I suggest you try it.  It’s amazing what you will learn about the connection between your mind and body.

I first learned the importance of tuning into my body and being in the moment while reading The Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle.  I was living in my old house at the time and, I kid you not, literally ever time, while laying in bed at night, when I would remember to tune into my body so that I could make sure it was relaxed, I would always hear the train that ran past our neighborhood about half a mile away, no matter what time of night it was.

Once it past the, “That’s a weird coincidence” state after this happened a hand full of times, I actually got to the point of expecting to hear the train as soon as I released all the tension I may have been holding in my body, tension I often had no idea was even there till I really took the time to check in with myself and see.  The train became a cool Sign of Magicality for me that I was really present, in the moment at that time, and I was grateful for and enjoyed its reminder.

Part of being able to attract what you want is being in the moment; when you are living in the past or wishing for the future, you are pushing things away from you.  Not being in the moment means you are ungrateful for the place you are in right now and that you have lost touch with yourself and your greater source.  You will not be able to attract your desires if you are not appreciative of the now and if you are disconnected from your body, your soul.

By taking a moment to really BE in your BODY, to let it speak to you by showing you what is going on with it—the pains, the tense muscles, your posture, whatever it is it has to share with you, you are making a conscious effort to reconnect with the Universe and it is when that connection is strong that the magic happens.

Start practicing taking a moment to stop, every so often, and see what is going on with your body.  Your body will instantly react to your thoughts and emotions, and vice versa…and, the Universe will instantly react to all of it!  So, take a deep breath, relax your body, flip your magnet so it is smiling and you will attract your desires!

Attracting Signs of Gratitude

1.29.14 Signs of GratitudeSo, how’s it been going lately?  Have you been honing your awareness skills?  Have you been able to notice Signs of Magicality in your life since Rayna and I have been guiding you on your Magicality journey the past few months?

Today I had a Sign of Magicality hit me so blindly in the face that I had to sit and immediately write about it so I could share it with you.

We recently invited our neighbors over for dinner; the kids all played together nicely while we hung out, waiting for our prime rib roast to finish cooking.  It was a snow day from school and I figured it would be a great time to make use of the roast I had in the freezer…it would warm my house up having the oven on for hours on this single digit temperature day.

The evening was great: good food, many laughs, but most of all, good company.  The next day, I texted my neighbor thanking her a nice night and for the desert she brought over.  She thanked me back, saying it was a great meal and an overall awesome night.  My reply was, “We are grateful for awesome neighbors!” In this case, feeling grateful feels like an understatement, we love our neighbors so much.

I have Rhonda Byrne’s “The Secret Daily Teachings,” a gift from Rayna, on my nightstand.  Though it is a 365 Day calendar with inspirational pages you can peal off for each day, I have chosen not to tear them out, nor read them in order either.

Almost every day, I pick it up and open it to a random page…the place that my fingers poke into first is the page I feel I am supposed to read at that moment.

It just so happened that I was passing by this Daily Teachings calendar after I sent that text to my neighbor and decided to see what Rhonda had in store for me that day.

I opened to Day 64, which read, “We can never bring anything to us unless we are grateful for what we have.  In fact, if somebody was completely and utterly grateful for everything, they would never have to ask for anything, because it would be given to them before they even asked.  That is the power of Gratitude.”

Now, I don’t know about you, but I thought that was an amazing example of a Sign of Magicality, a sign of true gratitude!  I had, only moments before, expressed in words, and truly felt in my soul, the gratitude I feel for my wonderful neighbors and then opened to a Daily Teaching that talked about the Power of Gratitude! Amazing!

I hope you enjoy reading about these personal examples of Magicality that I like to share with you.  I hope you are able to use them to make connections to the signs in your life as well so that you can appreciate them and therefore attract more special instances of Magicality into your life!

Hang Up Your Worry-Towel and Dress Yourself in The Present Moment

1.22.14 Worry TowelAre you a worrier?  Do you try to plan things out, living in the future, so that you can avoid pitfalls and problems?  Are you constantly thinking about all the “what ifs” that every situation and circumstance carries with it?

Uhh, man, if so, you are in good company!  I was always a “planner” and a worrier…even as a very young child.  I didn’t like to put myself in situations that I might get physically hurt in or look “stupid” by making a mistake (this is still a work-in-progress for me).

One of the older kids in our neighborhood group actually nicknamed me “lecture woman” because I was always telling everyone to “be care” and that they shouldn’t do whatever it was they were doing, if they were doing the wrong thing, because they were going to get in trouble.  I was so young, I didn’t even know what “lecture” meant!

For someone who had “worrying” so ingrained in her, in my thoughts, in my emotions, in my every cell of my body, it was not easy to just stop worrying.  After all, I was a worrier, it was one of the ways I described myself, it was who I was.

It wasn’t until I really became aware, on my own, how my worrying was really affecting my life and the quality of my living it that I became ready, and committed, to changing this trait of mine.   By worrying all the time, I was essentially keeping my focus on all the negative possibilities that I could encounter in the future.

I was never allowing myself to live in the NOW; I wasn’t allowing myself to fully enjoy the good experiences in my life because I was always so caught up in planning to try to ensure good experiences in the future.

Luckily, we have Magicality, and our own personal Magnets as our guide.  Worry is a negative thing and your Magicality Magnet abides so whatever you worry will happen, your magnet will quickly flip to a frown and coordinate with the Universe to call that worry into reality.

So, don’t allow your Magnet to make those worries and concerns come true.  Worrying about the future robs you of the present moment!  Don’t allow your worries to take over.  Stop them dead in their tracks.  Ask yourself when you notice yourself worrying which way your Magnet is pointing while you worry and decide if that’s the way you want it to be and flip accordingly.

Stop the endless worry cycle! Start living in the now, a positive now, a now filled with present moment happiness and appreciation!  Strive to cut back your worries and live more in the moment.  If I can do it, you definitely can too!

Magicality Moment #2: Which direction is your magnet facing right now?

Take a moment right now to determine which direction your magnet is facing right now.

Is it UP and Smiling indicating you are in a good positive mood sending out good positive vibes to the universe?

Or

Is it DOWN and Frowning, indicating you are in a bad negative mood conversely sending out bad and negative vibes to the universe?

If it is Up you are on the right track to attracting miracles into your life.

If is is down, take a moment to think of ALL of the things you are grateful for in your life.  Feel the gratitude through your body and then begin to feel the shift of your magnet from Down to UP.

Keep repeating this until your magnet is UP.
